Terms of Service

The basics

Clinkt is a file transfer service. You upload files, we store them temporarily, and you share the link with whoever needs it. By using Clinkt, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay - just don't use the service.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old to use Clinkt
• One account per person (no creating multiple free accounts)
• Keep your account secure - you're responsible for what happens under it
• Don't share accounts or let others use your Pro subscription

What you can upload

You can upload pretty much anything legal. But don't upload:

• Illegal content (pirated movies, stolen data, etc.)
• Malware, viruses, or anything designed to harm others
• Content that exploits minors in any way
• Other people's private information without consent
• Anything that violates someone else's copyright

We don't actively monitor your files - that would violate your privacy. But if we receive a valid complaint or legal request, we may remove content and/or suspend accounts.

Service limits

Payments

• Pro is billed monthly through Stripe
• You can cancel anytime - you'll keep Pro until the end of your billing cycle
• We don't do refunds, but if something went wrong, email us and we'll figure it out
• If we change prices, you'll get 30 days notice

Your files, your responsibility

You own your files. We don't claim any rights to them. We just need permission to store and transmit them so the service works. When you delete a file or it expires, that permission ends.

You're responsible for having the right to upload and share what you upload. If you upload something you shouldn't and it causes problems, that's on you.

We might remove content

We can remove files or suspend accounts if you violate these terms. We try to be reasonable about this - we're not looking for excuses to kick people off. But if you're uploading malware or illegal content, we'll act quickly.

The service isn't perfect

We do our best to keep Clinkt running smoothly, but things break sometimes. We can't guarantee 100% uptime or that your files will never be lost. Don't use Clinkt as your only backup for important files.

Legal speak: The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for indirect damages. Standard stuff.

Account termination

You can delete your account anytime from settings. We can also terminate accounts for violations of these terms. If we terminate your Pro account unfairly, we'll refund the unused portion.

Changes to these terms

We might update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
